PARADISE LIONS TAKE STRIDES IN
DIABETES AWARENESS Lutz, FL) – The Paradise Lions
Club will bring attention to the growing problem of
diabetes, while having a good time, during the
Strides Walks for Diabetes Awareness tentatively
planned for 6 events in February-March 2009 “More
than 100 million people throughout the world are
living with diabetes. Many people don’t even know
they have it,” said Mikey Bolton, president of the
Paradise Lions Club. “We encourage everyone in the
community to participate in the Strides Walks to
learn about diabetes prevention and detection and to
have fun.” At the Strides Walks, Lions will offer
information about diabetes and a free health
screening for attendees. These events are planning
to include fitness training seminars, live radio
fitness broadcasts, prizes, refreshments, snacks and
t-shirts for the participants, special Stride pins
and much more. Paradise Lions are reaching out to
all of Pasco County’s naturist communities to
contribute and volunteer for this event. We are
striving to plan weekly events at 6 different
naturist locations to make this a huge community
charitable event. In addition to diabetes awareness,
the Paradise Lions Club works on a variety of
projects, such as recycling eyeglasses for those in
need, fundraising for local charities through a
commemorative brick sales program at Paradise Lakes
Resort. The Paradise Lions are a group of men and
women who identify needs within the community and
work together to fulfill those needs. . For more
information, please contact club president Mikey
Bolton at

Please make your contribution today to make this a
huge success. |
